it's been a pleasantly busy few days, the kids are on holiday from school, i've played football (soccer to you americans) with them the last couple of afternoons, exhausting my supply of old-man energy. we play in a large, largely overgrown and occasionally muddy field that borders on a cliff leading down into a revine leading down to rice paddies, a bad place to lose the ball to say the least, but it still happens. the field is in a couple of the pictures near the end. no pictures of football, but the ones where the boys are flying kites occured during breaks in our game. there are some really beautiful shots in this one that the kids took, and i have to go on the record to say that none of the images have been photoshopped in anyway, and that any and all of the dramatic lighting and effects are results of happy accidents.
